A precision stage built for stable, repeatable positioning
The rotary stage provides ±1° limited-angle closed-loop positioning with 0.4 arcsecond resolution. It is intended for fine angular correction rather than continuous rotation.

Key benefits
- ±1° angular travel
- 0.4 arcsec encoder resolution
- ±0.4 arcsec repeatability
- 12°/s maximum speed
- 2 kg load capacity
- Direct drive without gear backlash
Where this stage fits
This stage provides fine, limited-angle orientation rather than continuous rotation. Its ±1° range is intended for trimming the angle of mirrors, detectors, samples and other components around a fixed mechanical axis.
Why Piezo LEGS® direct drive
Direct actuation removes a geared rotary transmission from the motion path. This avoids gear backlash and supports repeatable small-angle corrections. The integrated optical scale provides 0.4 arcsecond closed-loop resolution, and the stage can maintain its selected angular position without continuous motor power.
Small movement. Big impact.
When precision defines performance, every movement matters. Piezo LEGS® technology delivers direct, controlled motion without the complexity of conventional transmission mechanisms.
PRECISION
0.4 arcsec resolution for fine angular correction.
STABILITY
Hold the commanded angle without continuous power.
SIMPLICITY
Direct drive without a geared transmission.
Built to move innovation forward.
From advanced optics to analytical instrumentation, precise motion enables better-performing systems.
ALIGN
Trim mirrors and optical elements.
ORIENT
Set detector or sample angle precisely.
STEER
Apply fine laser-beam correction.
HOLD
Maintain angular position without gear backlash.
One family. Precision across every move.
Typical applications
- Mirror and optical-element alignment
- Detector orientation
- Precision angular inspection
- Laser beam steering
- Calibration and metrology
What this enables
- Trim the angle of a mirror or optical component during automated alignment.
- Orient a detector or sample by fractions of an arcsecond for measurement.
- Apply repeatable limited-angle correction without a geared rotary transmission.
Find your fit.
Use this stage when the task is precision angular correction within ±1°, not continuous indexing or full rotation. Check payload mass, inertia, centre of gravity, applied moments and required angular speed against the complete application.
